Pan-Am Cyclocross Championships 2023: Eric Brunner wins elite men's title

Eric Brunner won the elite men’s Pan American Cyclocross Championships title with a dominant ride on the technical but fast course in Missoula, Montana. 

Brunner beat fellow Boulder rider Scott Funston and Gage Hecht. Fellow Americans Lance Haidet and Curtis White completed the top- five. 

Brunner opened a seven-second gap on the opening lap of the eight-lap race and was then consistently faster as he dominated the different obstacles of the course. 

He finished with a final lap time of 7:52, to win ahead of Funston by almost two minutes.  Funston finished 17 seconds ahead of Hecht to secure the silver medal.
