Pan-Am Cyclocross Championships 2023: Isabella Holmgren wins elite women title

Isabella Holmgren (Canada) secured the elite women's title at the Pan American Cyclocross Championships on Sunday in Montana.

The junior cyclocross and mountain bike world champion finished the race 50 seconds ahead of Clara Honsinger (USA) and 1:27 ahead of Katie Clouse (USA).

Honsinger had won the previous day's UCI elite women's race, beating Holmgren by about half a minute, but the tables had turned for the championships event held in Missoula on Sunday.

Clouse, along with Sidney McGill, had the fastest opening lap times, followed by Honsinger and Holmgren.

However, by the sixth and final lap, Holmgren had increased her lead to nearly a minute, forcing Honsinger to settle for second and Clouse third.
